"Know now Oh Prince, following their battle with the stone god Eshu and the plundering of the tomb of Last King of Atlia the wonderers headed east across the vast Black Kingdoms.
Five they were in number; enigmatic Wu, cunning Iago, savage Rossen, mighty Brian and comely Tarethus. For a month they forged east and south following rumour of the traitor Alam’enshadar into strange lands caught in the grasp of a shadowy cult called The Scarlet Claw."

“Know now, Oh Prince…
Once they had recovered from their injuries sustained during The Battle for the Red Citadel, The Wanderers travelled on to the eastern coast of The Black Kingdoms. There they gained passage on a merchant vessel carrying rare and exotic woods from the deep jungle back to golden Messantia.
Upon arrival in The City of Riches The Wanders spent many hectic days and dazzling nights living on riches they had won in the south, for such adventurers know to grab their pleasures while they can, little suspecting that an innocent’s night’s celebrations would draw them into a web of conspiracy, murder and the undying revenge of The Golden Skull.”

Know now Oh Prince…

That following the “Great Fire of Messantia” our band of fortune hunters left the lands of Argos.
They determined to follow the great Road of Kings, that ancient route that had brought wealth and power to so many. That had turned mercinaries into kings and kings into emperors. In a search of fortune and glory they would travel through war-torn Zingara, mighty Aquilonia, scholarly Nemidia, haunted Corinthia and decedent Zamora before ending their quest in the ever expanding empire of Turan.
Soon their company was joined by a new comrade in arms, a master archer from the boarder kingdom of Bossonia.
Still, Zingara proved ill for the companions. It’s chaotic civil war caused schemes and plans to go awry. Their supply of silver dwindling the wanderers stopped in the city of Guarralid for one final roll-of-the-dice before pushing on to Aquilonia. Little did they suspect that the wrath of a woman scorned would draw them into a confrontation with powers from beyond the grave. A night where death and riches marched hand in hand…

With their blades stained with the blood of it’s nobles sons our fortune hunters found it convenient to leave Zingara behind and travelled north. Aquilonia was their destination, flower of the western nations and kingdom of the fell-hander usurper King Conan.
The companions soon found themselves within the walls of Tarantia, the very heart of that proud nation. But all was not well within the great city. Shadowy figures conspired in hidden places, a long prepared plan was to be put into motion and, once again, our six wanderers would find themselves ensnared in a web of blood and sorcery.

That the wanders left mighty Aquilonia and followed The Road of Kings eastwards into it’s great rival Nemedia. Nemidia, land of regal nobles and the most learned scholars in the west.
Here, in hushed fire-side tales told in the taverns and upon dusty manuscripts in the temples the fortune hunters heard tales that ancient ruins dating back to the infamous empire of Acheron lay within the brooding Darkwood on Nemedia’s far boarder. Ruins untouched by the modern, Mitra-fearing men of Nemidia but which held untold riches for those brave enough to venture into their ancient vaults."

"Know now of Prince…
Leaving the kingdom of Nemidia buzzing like a hornet’s nest in their wake The Wanderers headed further east into the mountainous land of Corinthia. During this time Corinthia was not a unified kingdom but a collection of independent city-states and it was among these that the Travellers sought their fortune. Numerous were their victories but numerous too were their defeats and, after many weeks, the lure of the open road called them to resumed their journey east.
As darkness descended the Road of Kings brought them to a lonely inn, nestled in the foothills of the wild and haunted Skarpash mountains…"

(Better late then never...)

“Know now O Prince…
With the Skarpash mountains far to their west The Wanderers had left behind the lands of the Hyborian people and found themselves in the ancient and decadent kingdom of Zamora.
Strange and exotic were the cities of Zamorains compared to those of the Mitra-fearing Hyborians. The indulgence of the senses was perused with almost religious zeal and no vice was denied to those with the silver to buy it.
After many hedonistic days The Wanderers found themselves in the city of Khesron where a night of strong drink and sweet company awaited…”

The Wanderers followed The Road of Kings to it’s end in the bustling metropolis of Agrapur, capital of the mighty Turanian Empire.
In temples and halls of lore, in the tents of nomads and the smoky taverns of sailors they heard rumours of an empire, lost to history, as ancient as lost Atlantis or purple towered Valusia. Lost, but waiting to be found by those with the wit and the courage to do so.
The key to finding the seat of this empire, and the uncounted wealth that it held, could be found in the hidden tomb of a nameless priest in the desert south of Agrapur.”

"From civilised Argos to war torn Zingara. Through the mighty Hyborian kingdoms of Aquilonia and Nemedia. Across haunted Corinthia, wicked Zamora and finally into the ever-growing Turanian Empire. The Wanderers had cheated death and the hand of man, beast and demon. They had defied the will of sorcerers, kings and gods. Through their hands had passed enough wealth to satisfy lesser men for a dozen lifetime. In their wake they had left tales that would be told and retold for years to come, tales of mortal men who had, by strength and cunning, matched their will against the world and triumphed.
But still their restless natures were not sated. Still the siren call of fortune and glory sounded in their hearts.
One day Fate would finally snare them, as it must all mortals, but till then new horizons and new tales awaited".

“Know now, Oh Prince…
Some say that The Gods watch down on man from on high and play with his destiny for their amusement, shifting him here and there like a playing piece of a game board. Others say that there are no Gods and that the shape of our lives is random as the fall of a gamblers dice.
Whatever the truth The Wanderers survived the terrible waves created by the destruction of the Island of the Mists and washed up, intact, upon the eastern coast of the Vilayet Sea.
For many weeks they wandered Turan, their lives guided by the twin stars of Fortune and Glory, until they found themselves in the trading town of Kharapur in The Zamorian Maarches.
There one of the Wanderers would see a face from his past and begin to unlock a sinister and deadly secret..."

Know now, Oh Prince...
Amongst the many treasures The Wanderer’s won in The Great Fane was a humble map. Upon that time-worn parchment was drawn an un-named island in the Southern Sea.
Tempted by the siren’s song of Adventure The Wanderer’s travelled south for league upon league; through the vast Eastern Desert of Turan, over the mighty Ubar Mountains and then finally across the lawless land of Iranistan to the port-city of Denizkenar.
For days, guided by the map, they sailed into the unending vastness of The Southern Sea. The lands they knew had been left far behind when finaly until at last the mysterious isle came into view.

South of The Mountains of Fire and north of the infamous River Styx lay the lands of Shem.
Many scholars say that it was the Sons of Shem who were the first to make the climb from barbarism to civilisation after the Great Cataclysm, to rediscover the arts of writing, mathematics and engineering . With these skills they built great stone cities, the wonder and envy of all the kingdoms to the north.
It was to one of this ancient metropolises, after many weary days travel first by sea and then by land, that The Wanderers were drawn.
Little then did they suspect that once again destiny was spinning it’s web about them. Soon The Wanders would have to match their strength and cunning against man, beast and dark sorcery in a battle to the death and they would draw the wrath of the most feared and terrible power of it’s age..."
