While I've got nothing against starting up the "The Defenders" campaign in principle there are two major hurdles to overcome;
Firstly we play a lot of systems on a Wednesday night already, as it is we play our current games about once a year. Secondly Matt hasn't played in the past (though that's certainly no bar to him joining in) and Traycie is busy on a Wednesday. Without at least one of them it seems a little unfair to invade their dining room!

The reason I played on the wednesday games (apart from luvvin superhero games) was that matt wasn't that interested when we first played it. don't know if he has changed his mind but.

Opps, must have hit "New Topic" rather then "Post Reply" when I wrote the above. The message should have gone into the on-going Defender descusion rather then starting a new one. My bad.
Sorry.

Truth is that I'm still not that bothered about a superhero game. It was never my favourite genre.

Next Wednesday sees the return of Marvel Superheroes and the much delayed sequal to "All this and World War II".
If those of you who don't have a character give it some thought over the week we'll put stats to your creations on Wednesday.
The adventure in question was designed for a group simular to The Avengers (or the Justice League if you're a DC fan) so that covers a wide range of heroic types from the Big Hitters like Thor and Iron Man to more human heroes like Hawkeye and Mockingbird.
Having at least one technicaly minded hero will be helpful. You guys might want to throw ideas about a bit so that all the superhero bases (Brick, Zapper, Flyer, etc.) are covered.

I'll have a mutant is that is possible.

Not really sure about anything else...

How about a shapechanger? Ability to look like anyone as well as turn into animals? (maybe enhanced animals, so a really strong rhino, or a really fast cheetah?)

I'm not good with coming up with superheroes. :?

Sorry Jay. If it is any consulation it is a trilogy. If there is as big a gap between adventure two and three as there was between one and two I'm sure you will be back with us.
Matt; shape-changing Mutant should be fine. I'll have to think how the "enhanced animal" bit might work; having the option of increasing the animal's highest stat or one of it's "powers" by +1 CS sounds about right.
By the way guys, it has just occured to me that if anyone intended to have a hero with aquatic powers they might find themselves a bit "out of their element" (so to speak) in this adventure. Not so much of a problem if they have a secondry power though (most "kings-of-the-seven-seas" tend to have super-strength as well).

That's good to know Nick - thanks :)

So, I'm guessing you'd prefer people to have new character as opposed to our established ones (that some of us have)? If so then I'll get thinking to what kind/class to have - it'll keep me occupied on the night shifts :D

Oh - and there should be a pm for you Nick.

I have been trying to find the message left regarding my character, and it seems its all in my head.... Doh!

I have been thinking about running a hero from another dimension, a dimensional cop, who has powers to control atoms & molecules

Now All I need is a name that isn't cheesy "Mol Man" is right out... ;)

Jay: What an awful pun (I wish I'd thought of it).

James: When you say controlling "atoms and molecules" do you imagine your hero being able to alter/re-shape matter (like Firestorm, if you are a DC fan) or be able to phase through solid objects?

James, apart from being from another dimension what do you imagine the origin of your character's powers to be? Are they innate to his/her species? Do they stem from some item of super-science that he has been issued with (like a Green Lantern's power-ring)?
